The memory of the burning moment becomes a secret and disappears.

Sometimes, memories from moments in my timeline emerge suddenly as haunting afterimages. For all of us living with numerous memories and reminiscences, forgetting may indeed be a necessary value.

Scents, melodies, and voices that strike as both unfamiliar and familiar act as triggers, bringing hidden memories and secrets to the surface.
These are incinerated in a simultaneous blaze, offering a catharsis and lingering sense of oblivion.
The brand POINTTWOFIVE·SECOND, which engages with the ‘self’ through scents, aims in this exhibition to discuss how the value of ‘forgetting,’ which occurs as time passes, can be actively utilized through the act of ‘incineration.’

RISING MEMORY

In the five phone booths of 025S,
each symbolizing different times and scents,
a 25-second dial tone ends with a moment of silence, followed by a narration that poses a question to you.

Amidst a stack of dust-covered books, the sound of time created by the friction of paper draw me into an smoky silence.
The gravity of the stories—maturing from the words in the eyes—awakens my senses and pulls me into a burning moment of immersion.

VANISHED MEMORY

Place the recorded messages of memories and secrets into the incinerator prepared by 025S.
The messages will all be incinerated at the same moment,
permanently erasing our secrets in flames.
I hope the moments of oblivion you recorded transform into a refreshing act of incineration.
